Autumn has officially started. Driving home from work, after 11pm, optimised temperature just above 7 degrees. You can feel it in the air, the winter is coming. Sharp, chilly air, leaving a cloud of steam when you breathe. What’s the best solution for cold autumn nights? Mulled wine, of course.
Takes few minutes to make but warms for hours ^^
INGREDIENTS
300ml red wine (we used Cotes du Rhone)
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
few cloves
slice of orange (skin on)
100ml blackcurrant juice (optional)
HOW TO MAKE?
Add all the ingredients to the saucepan and heat them up until hot. Stir from time to time so the honey can melt properly. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for few minutes, the wine will thicken a bit.
Serve hot, with a slice of orange and cinnamon sprinkle. Done!
Enjoy!
